Over the years, there has been a huge shift in the desire for brands embracing moral principles. Consumers are becoming more interested in where and how products they use are being made. People are putting the ethics surrounding products first when choosing whether to buy. Consumers are seeking products and brands that do not test on animals
I will hold my hands up and admit, it is not something I always looked out for. It can be easy to turn a blind eye. But, since joining TOTM I have become much more aware of cruelty-free products and brands. I’ve learnt so much about animal testing. I’m proud to say I work for a company against these barbaric practices. After all, the best things in life are cruelty free. If you to are guilty of not taking the time to seek out cruelty-free then I’m here to help! Here are 6 cruelty-free beauty brands myself and team TOTM are currently obsessing over:
Made By Coopers:
Organic and cruelty-free, what’s not to love? Made by coopers have all your clean beauty and aromatherapy needs covered. They stock a range of hand-crafted mists, candles, bath salts, body scrubs, oils and more. Vegan. All- natural. All organic. Transform your home into a spa, the organic and ethical way. I’m sure you can understand why we’re obsessed, right?
Pai:
The name ‘Pai’ sums up the essence of the brand. It’s a Maori word meaning goodness and that’s what their products are – cruelty-free, organic, natural goodness. Their skincare is good to you, the animals and the environment. They’re sensitive skin saviours, with all the right ethics.
Miss Patisserie:
Miss Patisserie have all your bath, body and face products covered. They pride themselves on being a vegan, natural brand. But, who said that had to be boring? Their products are definitely some of the most instagrammable we’ve seen! Their coffee scrub and clay mask are a personal favourite. I always use it as part of my self-care routine to revitalise my skin!
Odylique:
Another organic, natural sensitive skin saviour. The name ‘Odylique’ stands for ‘the power of nature’. Made from all organic herbs, plant oils and natural active ingredients they are compatible with even the most sensitive skin. Accredited by both PETA and the Naturewatch, they are strongly against animal testing. Not only do they not test their products on animals, but they do not buy any ingredients that carry out animal testing.
Spectrum Collections:
I’m sure Spectrum Collections have come across your Instagram feed at some point or another. You can’t miss their unique, bold and ‘instagrammable’-brushes! Not only do they look good, but they are insane quality. The best part? They’re PETA registered and Vegan trademarked. This means all the goodness is cruelty-free.
Rawgaia:
Rawgaia produce plant derived superfood skincare developed from high quality, raw ingredients. Their product range includes cleansers, toners, moisturisers, body butters, cold-pressed oils and more. Free from nasties, soil association certified, cruelty free international and vegan society registered. Does it get any better? Oh yeah, their packaging is also 100% biodegradable and their glass bottles/jars are recyclable!
