The festive period can be overwhelming. Trying to fit in shopping, buying gifts and seeing friends and family as well as finding time to relax. But, this doesn’t have to be a stressful time. In line with our convenience hack, we’re giving hacks for busy people over the festive period. To help you have a hassle-free, less stressful December.
Break it down:
You might feel like you have a never-ending list of jobs to complete around the festive period. Especially if the list involves lots of big jobs that will take up a lot of your time. If this is the case, take one big job and break it down into lots of little manageable ones. For example, if you need to de-clutter the house, break this down into individual rooms. Take one room at a time and complete individual tasks for the room. If you need to sort your bedroom out, start by sorting through your wardrobe to make room for storing gifts. This will make de-cluttering manageable and less of a daunting task.
Keep organised:
Lists will be your best friend during this busy time to help you keep organised and on stay on top of all your tasks. Plus, is there anything more satisfying than ticking jobs off a list once they’re complete?! Write a list of everyone you need to buy presents for with some ideas jotted down underneath. Each time you buy a present, wrap it straightaway. This will save you from spending hours wrapping them all last minute.
Plan it out:
Plan your days out in the morning to save wasting time thinking about what you need to do next. Make sure you pencil in days to relax and spend time with family and friends. Some of the best times are spent watching Christmas films and enjoying festive treats. Remember to pencil in any key dates such as Christmas parties or seasonal events. That way you can keep track and plan your schedule around these dates.
Keep it efficient:
Subscribe to services that can make your life easier and take a few things off your plate. For example, look out for food, beauty and of course tampon subscription services. Shopping online will save you a lot of time. Get everything delivered on the same day in line with days you have scheduled to be in the house. It’s always stressful when you return home to a ‘failed delivery’ slip and need to make time to get to the post office. If most of your tasks involve being out the house, choose ‘click&collect’. That way, you don’t have to spend hours looking round the shops or worry about missing your home delivery. Simply coincide your click&collect delivery dates with days that you’re out and about – easy!
