We do! Our tampons, pads and liners are made with organic cotton that’s certified by ICEA to comply with the Global Organic Cotton Textiles Standard (GOTS). GOTS has a defined set of criteria for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria.
Our applicator tampons have an organic cotton core, veil, and string. They also feature a biodegradable cardboard applicator and recyclable paper wrapper.
We totally get that switching to cardboard applicators can be daunting, however they do the same job as plastic versions but without the environmental impact. Plastic tampon applicators are used for seconds but can stick around in landfill for up to 500 years. They cannot be widely recycled as they come into contact with bodily fluids therefore any form of plastic (whether conventional or bioplastic) will lead to plastic pollution. Our applicators are made with cardboard and will break down naturally after use.
To help you make the switch our applicators have a ‘twist-to-release’ to help the tampon glide out for a smoother insertion.
Our tampons comply with industry standard absorbency guidelines which you can find on the front of the pack and in our ‘help me choose’ guide above.
Our tampons use 100% organic cotton from core to cover which sets them apart from other tampons on the market. Conventional tampons are typically made with non-organic cotton and rayon. They can also contain ingredients such as paraffin, glycerine, PEGs and titanium dioxide. These ingredients can all cause irritation during use and have a negative impact on the environment.
Our tampons do NOT use any of these ingredients. We use organic cotton from the core to the veil. Our veil helps to prevent fibre-shedding and irritation. Not all organic cotton tampons contain a veil, however we took this step for added comfort and safety.
PFA testing was conducted by EUROFINS in 2023 on our organic cotton pads, natural pads and tampons. All of them passed the test under the acceptance criteria specified by AFIRM Restricted Substances List 2023 ver.08. The method used in this test was the total fluorine content (meaning that different PFAS were tested, regardless of if they are or not regulated).
Absolutely! Safety is important to us at TOTM, that’s why our tampons are produced in a sterile environment with UV lamps based on ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 (US FDA) standards.

Yes, we’re proud to have our face mask registered with The Vegan Society. The product has never been tested on animals.
Our face mask is 98.8% natural.
Our face mask includes the following ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Glycerin, Bentonite Helianthus annuss (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Coco-Glucoside, Charcoal Power, Benzyl Alcohol, Coconut Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Citric Acid.
Activated charcoal is created through the process of heating charcoal. Heating the charcoal causes expansion, which allows it to absorb pollutants and reduce the appearance of pores on your skin. It acts as a detoxifying agent, maximising the draw out of toxins, oil, and dirt from your skin
There are no essential oils in this formula.
Our face mask has a delicate natural scent (think marzipan), however the formula does not contain fragrance.
The face mask is suitable for oily & combination skin types. If you have dry combination skin, then it’s recommended to use on oilier areas such as the T-zone.
For best results, smooth an even layer of our charcoal activated face mask over your face, taking extra care around delicate areas such as eyes. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse off thoroughly with warm water.
The face mask can be used weekly 😊
Our face mask is allergen free. We do however always recommend carrying out a test patch 24 hours prior to use and discontinuing use if any kind of reaction is caused.
We recommend conducting patch tests during pregnancy as the body can be much more sensitive than normal.
Our face mask is produced in the United Kingdom to high ethical standards.
Stored away from direct sunlight & in a cool place, the face mask can be used for 12 months after opening.
Our cartons are 100% recyclable so can be disposed of with your usual household recyclables. Separate the lid and jar and wash out with water. Our lids and jars are also 100% recyclable so can be disposed of with your usual household recyclables
Our referral scheme has been paused temporarily while we work on something bigger and better. We want to reward you for your loyalty as well as for helping us spread the word about our planet-friendly period care. Watch this space…
Our tampons, pads and liners are made in Europe in compliance with US FDA standards. They’re certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), ICEA and carry the Cotton Seal, so you can be sure of the quality of materials.
TOTM products use only 100% certified organic cotton with no synthetic fibres or nasty ingredients. Organic cotton is farmed using sustainable methods and Fairtrade principles. It is, therefore, more expensive to produce. We do try to price our period care as competitively as possible. We offer free shipping for subscription customers and one-off purchases over £10.
No. Since the announcement in March 2020 that the tax would be scrapped, we put a plan together to bring down prices of our products so they’re more affordable for our customers. A price reduction has been applied across the whole of TOTMs range to account for the reduction in VAT from 5% to 0%, effective from 1st January 2021.
We run promotional discounts at intervals throughout the year. To hear about the latest promotions and offers follows us on socials and be sure to sign up for our newsletters!
We are working on a number of product developments to extend the range. We will make announcements on our socials so stay tuned!
Due to the nature of the product, we unfortunately cannot fulfil all sample requests. We have switch kits available on the website that give you a mix of organic cotton tampons, pads and liners for £2 – they also include a discount for £2 off of your next subscription order should you decide you like the products!
Although it’s a type of paper, this type of brown paper should be recycled in the cardboard recycling stream because it causes brown flecks in new paper.
Enter your postcode at https://www.recyclenow.com/what-to-do-with/cardboard-0 to check if you can recycle cardboard at home via your kerbside collection.
Our period care range is made from 100% certified organic cotton. None of the products contain latex. If there are any particular ingredients you’re concerned about please pop a message to [email protected].
We do! Our tampons, pads and liners are made with organic cotton that’s certified by ICEA to comply with the Global Organic Cotton Textiles Standard (GOTS). GOTS has a defined set of criteria for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria.
Our liners made from 100% certified organic cotton from the absorbent core through to the topsheet (the bit that sits against your skin). Unlike synthetic fibers which can lock in sweat and moisture, our organic cotton is soft and breathable. For added comfort and protection, our liners have layers of woven organic cotton to natural absorb menstrual flow.
Alongside organic cotton, our liners feature a waterproof backsheet that’s certified compostable. To prevent any discomfort or irritation, our liners are made without rayon, fragrance/perfumes, dyes, chlorine bleach and artificial absorbents (SAP).
We offer our liners wrapped or unwrapped so you can choose what works best for you.
You can wear our unwrapped liners with all underwear – including thongs. They feature two fold lines on the topsheet so you can adapt the shape to fit securely around a thong.
Absolutely! Our liners are lightweight enough for daily use to absorbent very light/light fluid or discharge.
Our period care is designed to be different. We’re proud to use quality, sustainable materials throughout our range. Our organic cotton liners use 100% organic cotton from core to cover which sets us apart from the big brands and other eco brands in this space.
In other liners, you may find ingredients like fragrance, dyes, chlorine bleach and artificial absorbents (super absorbent polymers). As we’re all about comfort at TOTM and want to prevent vaginal irritation, we leave ingredients such as this out of our liners. We love that organic cotton is naturally absorbent, super soft and breathable. It’s an eco-conscious alternative that’s kind to you and the planet. Our liners are still competitive in terms of absorbency however are the best choice for sensitive skin.
Our liners are hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skin. They are designed to prevent irritation such as itching, rashing and general discomfort.
Our liners are unscented as they do not contain any fragrance or perfumes.
Reusable period menstrual cups are a great option if you’re looking to reduce waste on your period. On average, one menstrual cup can save 2400 tampons/pads from landfill per user (based on a cup lasting 10 years). Alongside reducing waste, a menstrual cup can help you save money every cycle – One menstrual cup replaces the need to buy other period care products.
Our cups are made with medical grade TPE, which is often used in medical equipment. We use TPE over silicone as it has a soft, flexible feel which moulds to the body when inserted. This means that (when placed correctly) our cup seals securely for added comfort and protection.
We offer standard guidelines to help you find the right cup, however these are just suggestions. If you need help deciding on a size, please drop us a message. Our standard guidelines are shown at the top of this page, just select ‘find my cup size.’
Our cups do not contain phthalates, silicone, latex, or BPA. They are hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.
To insert the cup, you’ll need to fold it beforehand. There are many different ways to fold a menstrual cup. We’ve linked a few suggested folds here. It’s important to relax and try out a few folds until you find what works best for you.
You need to sterilise your cup before use by boiling it in water for 3-4 minutes. Once cooled, you can then insert the cup to use on your period. When you need to change the cup, you need to gently squeeze the sides of the cup to release the seal and then remove the cup. You can then empty your blood into the toilet, give the cup a rinse under water and re-insert.
Our natural pads feature a 100% organic cotton topsheet (the bit that comes into contact with your body). The absorbent core is made with sustainably-sourced, renewable wood pulp fluff which is totally-chlorine free (TCF).
By using organic and biodegradable materials, all of our pads help to reduce plastic waste. If you’re looking for pads that are made with organic cotton from cover to core, you can shop our core pad range here.
No, wood pulp (if sustainably and responsibly sourced) in it’s raw form is renewable, however many period care products chemically process this to create rayon or viscose – a process that is not environmentally-friendly. Furthermore, the rayon is often bleached which can also produce dioxins.
Our new pads do not contain rayon or viscose and we use woodpulp fluff that is sustainably-sourced, renewable, and totally chlorine free (TCF).
Absolutely not! We created these pads as an ethical alternative to pads which contain SAPs or superabsorbent polymers. SAPs offer a cheap and effective way to enhance absorbency, however they are mostly produced from petrochemicals and can take up to 500 years to degrade. We use organic and renewable materials in our pads to absorb your flow naturally. Our goal is to continually develop our pad range so we can cater for all different flows without the use of conventional SAP. If you’re curious if the pads you use contain SAP, you can test it out by pouring water on top of the pad. If you see a mound form or slush appear beneath the top layer, then it probably contains SAP.
All TOTM period care products are ethically-manufactured in Europe.
Yes, all TOTM tampons, pads and liners are carbon neutral, as well as our business. We work closely with our partners at ClimatePartner to ensure that we calculate, reduce, and offset our carbon emissions.

Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides. It’s GM-free and has a naturally soft, breathable texture. This makes it ideal for use in period care which comes into contact with the sensitive and highly absorbent vaginal area. Mainstream tampons, pads and liners are made with conventional cotton and have been found to also contain additional synthetic materials such as rayon, plastics and artificial absorbents. We use organic cotton as it’s kind to the body and the environment.
We’re extremely proud our product range is certified cruelty-free and vegan by The Vegan Society & PETA.

We recognise that there are growing concerns over the use of titanium dioxide and PFA (forever chemicals) in period care products.
